Washington Oaks Gardens State Park in Palm Coast, Florida

October 30, 2013

A few days ago, I was fortunate enough to visit Washington Oaks Gardens State Park, right here in Palm Coast. I was in the area, the stars were aligned and I had just come from the beach. The mood was ripe for some sightseeing at a park I had intended to visit promptly after arriving in Florida, but hadn’t yet developed the inclination.

I’m going to tell you this – the park is absolutely beautiful. It’s the most beautiful few acres in all of Palm Coast – by far. The Oaks are huge and expansive and the trails are easy to navigate. Gardens, ponds, a citrus grove – if you’re in the area, I highly recommend you take a short detour to soak up this sight. You won’t be sorry.

I took over a hundred pictures, but whittled the collection down to a mere twenty seven. I’ll post them below. It was difficult deciding which pictures were to stay and which ones were to go, but I think I kept enough to give you the essence of what it’s like over there.

Now that is one beautiful park. A hidden gem in Palm Coast. Makes one feel like dancing.

That’s right. I’m just glad I got all those pictures to look back on.
