I’ve had my eye on a few tomatoes for a week or so. The first one began ripening then and ever since, one by one, others followed suit. As of today, we’ve got one red tomato (which I just picked), two yellow tomatoes, one pink tomato and an orange tomato. Since I already picked the red one, we’ll cut it into tiny little pieces and cherish it as part of tonight’s meal.
I think the two orange tomatoes are a different breed. Since I can’t remember all five types of seed we planted, I’m just going to chalk these up as “larger ones.” I know we planted Cherry and Beefsteak, but beyond that, I have no idea. I thought that’s all we planted, but later on, I was advised that we planted five different types. I suppose this is why people label things.
Take a look at the pictures. I’m hoping that since this is the beginning of the ripening phase, we’ll get a nice stream of daily tomatoes. It’s weird because even though we have tons of plants, we’ll most likely not have an issue eating everything I see growing out there. It could possibly be because we have huge salads every night of our lives.
