Stopping by Campbell’s Building Supply

December 19, 2013

I’m starting up a few small projects down in the basement that I’ll write about tomorrow or the next day. They have to do with insulating downstairs and setting up the proper discharge tubing for the sump pumps. As things are right now, drafts down there are more common than not and getting water out of the basement is a temporary system at best. What I’m hoping to do is to mosey my way through an attempt at cleaning up the situation. It’s sort of hobby-like, so I’m not going to stress about it.

My main store of choice for buying the supplies I need is Campbell’s Building Supply in Madison, Maine. I think I already mentioned that Campbell’s has a few locations; a True Value hardware store, an Agway down the road and a building supply center. They’ve kind of cornered the market around here, which is fine because everyone I’ve dealt with so far has been very friendly and helpful.

Today I bought rigid foam insulation, some PVC piping some “Great Stuff” and a few other things. Like I said, I’ll tell you all about them in my next posts. What I want to do right now is show you two pictures of my truck in the snow. That’s the real reason for this post. More pictures of my truck.

Okay, I’m heading downstairs right now to start measuring out what I need to cut from the foam board. Stay tuned for some very exciting posts right around the corner.
