Our tomato plants seem to have taken a liking to the warm sun ’round these parts and have really taken off. I’d say they’re about four inches tall now and the size is just perfect for them to be repotted into their final homes.
If you remember, we threw a bunch of seeds into our seven gallon nursery pots, with the hope of a large choice of plants to repot. Our hopes came true and at this point, we have around twenty plants. Ask me if I’m getting nervous and I’ll tell you that I am.
I have four seven gallon pots left. I also have five three gallon pots. Today, I decided to replant two of our tomato plants into two of the seven gallon pots. I would’ve preferred to plant each plant into a three gallon pot, but from what people are saying out there in internet land, these things get huge. And from the pictures I’ve seen, I’d agree.
I took a few pictures this morning of the plants I repotted. You’ll see the final “unstaked” product. I also ordered 25 bamboo stakes online and they should be here in a few days. I figure that I’ll order pots and stakes as I need them. I don’t want to overwhelm myself with product just yet.
