Our Christmas Tree 2014

December 27, 2014

I know this is a bit late. My apologies. I’ve been preoccupied with doing a whole bunch of random things. For example, yesterday, a tree fell down across our road and landed on the wires, knocking out the power. Someone came and cut up the wood and put the wires back together. After our power came back on, I had to go swipe the wood. It now sits in the garage.

Another example – Today, I decided that I was going to head outside to cut up the bottom part of the tree I cut down for our Christmas tree. I did that, but while I was out there, I thought it would be a nice idea to take down three White Birches and cut them up for firewood. I now have a pile out in front of the shed waiting for someone to haul it into the garage. I’ll get to it.

Also, I bought a GoPro video camera, so I’ve been tinkering with that. Watch out because you are sitting on the precipice of my life in first person view. Since I’m not a video guru, the most you’ll probably get is videos of me completing various tasks. I have a headband that I can attach the camera to, so I can and will be taking really neat videos of activities like me cutting down trees, climbing trees, blowing snow, driving around and all that. I think it’ll be fun.

About the Christmas tree – What we’ve discovered is that it’s sort of difficult to take pictures of LED lights. They are freaky looking and out of about 30 shots, all I was able to grab that were blog worthy were these two below. But, since I like to document things, here goes. Our Christmas tree for 2014. She’s a beauty.

Merry Christmas to you too! The tree is, well, from the back yard. But it was cut down and decorated with love. We like it.
