Ordered My Origin Gi Jacket

June 13, 2013

Just a quick update to let you know that I ordered my Origin Gi Jacket. As I may have mentioned before, I only need a jacket because I already have about 6 pairs of pants. Some old, some brand new. The last thing I need is more gi pants.

FYI – Origin doesn’t have an option to order a jacket only. I had to contact them to see if they would accommodate the request. Jon emailed back and told me it was cool. He instructed me how to go about getting it done in their shopping cart and now it’s done. Beautiful.

I ordered the PRO COMP 2013 jacket in white. I got an A3 tall, because I’m about 6’2″ and around 180 pounds. The weight fluctuates based on what I eat each day, but I’d say I’ve weighed between 175 and 185 for about 5 years. Believe it or not, I’ve actually been down to 165, but that was a bad year. I was on a budget and became good friends with rice and beans.

Anyway, I’ll tell you this – one of the reasons I purchased from Origin is because I’ve heard good things. I also like the fact that they’re just a bunch of guys who are making things happen. Lastly, they offer gi jackets in tall. Now I can wear the proper sized jacket, instead of swimming around in an A4.

When I get the jacket, I’ll take many oodles of multiples of pictures and display them here. I’m sure anyone in the market for a gi would be interested in seeing them.
