Marcio Stambowsky and Jay Demonstrating a Jiu-Jitsu Technique

November 11, 2012

A while back, Marcio Stambowsky visited our club for a seminar. As usual, we all gained a lot of good information that we still use today. I oftentimes use the roll under mount escape Marcio mentioned in passing the day of the seminar. He wasn’t teaching that technique – I think someone asked a question or something like that. He just happened to mention it and demonstrate it. Since Marcio and I have similar body styles, I took notice and have pretty much used it for every mount escape since. It’s almost 100% effective (against the right person).

Anyway, I pulled this photo out of my archives. It’s just Marcio and me demonstrating a move. I can’t remember which one, but I thought it would be pretty sweet to have a picture of me with the northeast’s highest ranking Jiu-Jitsu practitioner.
