Have you ever thought of a life without Google? For all of you out there who aren’t involved in the services offered by Google, I suppose your life wouldn’t be that different, but for those of you who use their tools (such as myself), things might not look all too familiar.
If you aren’t a webmaster, a marketer, in the social scene or an internet manager of some sort, you might not appreciate something like this. But if you are involved in the areas I just mentioned, I think you might get a kick out of this article.
Mike Moran, over at Search Engine Guide, wrote a nice article about a meeting he once went to that covered the topic of a world without Google. It’s pretty entertaining, to say the least. He discusses that and then goes into his own thoughts on the topic. Give it a read: Hey, marketers: What if there was no Google?
I’ll tell you one thing – I am very satisfied with the services Google offers. For years, I was using Yahoo! mail, as well as their news service and found myself frustrated beyond belief. I’m not sure what they are doing over there, and perhaps things have changed, but it’s not even on the same ball field as Google.
