If you watched my previous video, you’ll notice that Chris is in contrast to Zach. When sparring with Chris, I am forced to use much more strength and pressure. I understand that Jiu-Jitsu relies primarily on technique, but strength does creep in here and there.
Chris is an extremely tough competitor. He wasn’t easy to deal with on day one and it’s even worse now. Just trying to get into position to think about a submission is tremendously difficult. He has a real knack for letting you get where you want to be, feeling the threat and quickly neutralizing it. In order to win a round with Chris, you need to be smart.
