I’m almost halfway through the Hobbit right now and I’m really enjoying it. It’s a great book and a good adventure story.
I’ve been telling people recently that I’m going straight fantasy. Well, I’ll throw in some Sci-Fi because of all the Star Wars and Star Trek books I want to read. As long as it’s not non-fiction. In the past year, I’ve developed a strong disdain for anything non-fiction. After years of reading that stuff, I think I’ve had enough. There’s only so much drama one can endure before they go haywire.
Anyway, once this book is through, I’m going to join Audible. I’ve been looking at it quite thoroughly and think it’s going to work out. I even bought some nice new headphones to deal with this. They haven’t arrived yet, but once they do, you can count on a review and some pictures.
I wonder if I’ll finish up all the Lord Of the Rings books first. I’d like to go theme by theme, but if I can’t control my excitement, there may be some jumping around. It doesn’t concern me all too much because I’ll at least be getting some more reading in.
If you’re interested in fantasy, I’d recommend the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. There aren’t many dull moments and it’s certainly more entertaining than reading about philosophy or the economy.
