I just stumbled across this interesting video. Amazing what people can put together.
This is a video that demonstrates the life expectancy and income level of various countries around the world. Over time, both life expectancy and income generally increase. As you’ll notice, there is a disparity between the West and the East that shrinks as the years pass by. While watching this video, I particularly paid attention to the West’s rise in income level.
While there certainly seems to be a correlation between income and health, I would encourage you to research what causes an increase in a nation’s income level. Pay particular attention to Japan’s income level after World War II.
Quite often, there are multiple versions of every story. See if you can discover what happened here. Also, after you learn this, see if you can piece together any other interesting trends.
