Perhaps that title isn’t as accurate as it possibly could be. Maybe is should have read, “Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake in Our Back Yard!”
I swear, if I hear, “Hey Bob, c’mere quick!!! COME HERE!!!” one more time, I’m going to flip my lid. First it was an anole, then a bird, then a rabbit, then a turtle, then a tiger and now a big, huge rattlesnake.
Look at this thing. My friend Pete warned me about the snakes, but I figured it was just talk. Talk to scare away the innocent northerner. Nope. It was true. Apparently the snakes are here and I’ll be honest with you, I’m starting to reconsider my morning walks while only wearing my MMA shorts and partially see-through Crocs. I think I may trade up to combat boots and leather pants.
And to think, my new peach tree and potential avocado plants are back there with that thing. It probably watched us planting from a nearby tree, waiting to slither down and take ownership of our labor.
Out of all the animals we have seen to date, I think this one is the one I don’t want to run into again. Well, that and the tiger.
OH. MY. WORD. Really great photos, but BE CAREFUL, Jay!!! O_O
I’m still a little freaked out about that snake. It was HUGE. I’m staying inside for a while.
Holy canoli, that’s a big freakin snake!
Uhh, yeah! We were just back there putting up our night vision camera and I was all freaked out. There was some sort of a bug making noise in a nearby tree and I kept saying, “It’s the snake!” That was the largest natural snake I’ve ever seen.
Nice Jay, dont buy a small dog!
Ahhhh! It looks like it ate all of the other animals you listed. That thing is big!
That thing is huge! Have you come across it again? That would totally freak me out. We have to worry about Copper heads here. Luckily I have never seen one. At least a rattle snake will usually warn you if you get too close.
