Christmas Tree Growing Strong

It’s not so much that we are showing off how we still have our Christmas tree up, it’s that we are showing off our holiday spirit.

If you are reading this and have already removed your Christmas tree from your crib (house), you really need to ask yourself why you did that. You need to ask yourself how you so carelessly let yourself get beat by this guy. That’s right, this guy. This guy doesn’t mess around and this guy doesn’t take his Christmas tree down just because that’s the “normal” thing to do. This guy laughs in the face of the norm and tells it to tuck its tail between its legs and “GO ON…GIT!!!”

Actually, the truth is that we haven’t paid much attention to the Christmas tree in months. It does get watered quite a bit, but other than that, it sits in the living room waiting to sprout every last bud it has.

We love our Christmas tree and we understand that we’ll have to take it down one day. But until that day in June, we are going to enjoy our tree. Maybe one of these nights, we’ll plug the lights in and sit at its base drinking wine. Maybe we’ll celebrate birthdays and anniversaries around our Christmas tree. Maybe…
