What I think we’ve got here is a Banded Garden Spider, or otherwise known as the Argiope trifasciata. I am not 100% sure of this, but as far as I can tell, the Banded Garden Spider resembles what is living in the garage. It’s definitely not the Black and Yellow Garden Spider like I wrote about in my last post. So it’s got to be something.
Really, I don’t care what it is. All I care about is the cool pictures I took of it. This is the one I was telling you about – the one (or actually, many) that live in the garage. Whenever I go in there, I’ve got to bob and weave my head so I don’t get a face full of web. It’s happened – only once, thankfully. The webs are remarkably strong and getting them off the face is a hassle.
