Just a few moments ago, I happened to be walking down the stairs. Since there is a large westward facing window, I was greeted by a beautiful orange winter sunset. It has been cloudy and snowing here for most of the day. The clearing is welcome, so I took a few pictures. Take a look.

I made a vow a few years back. I vowed that I would never buy trees from Arbor Day again. Obviously, I didn’t have much luck with my first batch. I think the problem with the last batch of trees was that I put them in planters over the Winter. They didn’t do well in […]
I must say, it really is. I was driving up to Manchester this afternoon when I noticed how brilliant the trees looked. It’s mostly the Maples, Birches and Hickorys. Their leaves are really getting bright. I see mostly orange, red and yellow. The Oaks are still green. After I got back, I took a little […]
I was outside today taking some pictures of the White Chrysanthemums, when I noticed a butterfly on one of the flowers. I considered this a “photo op” because it really was. My original post was about how woody the Chrysanthemums were all Summer and towards the latter part, they became green. Just about a week […]
During our walk yesterday, I told Laura to pick up some colorful leaves for me because I wanted to take some pictures of them. There is this one area that has many of these types of leaves. She ignored me. Then, realizing what I had done, I asked Laura to pick up some leaves for […]
I took a quick little trip to Home Depot the other day to see if they had and small pines. Of course, they didn’t have any. Lowe’s had them, but Home Depot didn’t…like many things. On the way in, I passed by a bunch of popular Autumn plants, like Mums. Have you noticed that Mums […]
Now that Autumn is here, I think the camera will be coming out a lot more. We have many mini adventures planned. There certainly is something different in the air. I can feel it in my bones. Just going out for a little cruise this morning felt strange. Maybe I drank too much coffee this […]
I feel like I am living a re-run here. I mean, I don’t mind planting the same trees as I did at the other house, it’s just repetitive, that’s all. I really do like watching them grow. Yesterday, we went up to Lowe’s to return a bum flashlight I had bought the day before. I […]
A while back, I can’t even remember when, Laura got a Morning Glory. I can’t remember if it was some seeds or the plant itself. What I do remember is that she decided to plant it in front of the house. Well, it has been a month or two and now the thing is huge. […]
I was outside today just poking around and noticed that a bunch of new flowers recently bloomed. Since some of them look really good, I decided to go inside and grab my camera to take a few pictures. These are pretty neat shots, unfortunately, I only (think) know what one flower is and that’s the […]
