I watch TV once a day. When I’m eating dinner, I sit downstairs and enjoy an hour of television while resting on the futon. It’s rare for me to sit still that long while not working, but by the end of the first half hour, I get used to it.
It’s actually not a TV, it’s a computer with a nice monitor. We watch episodes of television shows through Hulu. To make a fairly short story even shorter, I cancelled the ridiculously priced basic cable package ($80 per month) a while ago and opted for a less expensive alternative. It’s been working out very well so far.
Tonight, we decided to close our eyes and click on something new. I liked the idea because I thought it would get us out of our usual routine. I know there are many shows out there that we aren’t aware of and picking something out of the blue is sometimes healthy.
We got lucky and picked “The Cape.”
I have to tell you, I really liked this show. It is fast moving, imaginative and very entertaining. There are no opportunities to get bored and the storyline just keeps on going. Captivating really.
I have no doubt this show will be cancelled. We have found that any show that is engaging doesn’t make it. We have a little joke around here. It goes a little something like this…”Well you know, they do need that time slot for another hour of Dancing With the Stars.” We like to pick on Dancing With the Stars because I never saw it.
Check out the trailer of The Cape.
