After I took a few photos of Simon this afternoon, I walked over to our Neon Showy Stonecrop, which is actually the reason I took the camera out in the first place. I saw a few bumble bees walking around on the flowers and I wanted to see if I could get some nice up-close shots.
I haven’t found a camera yet that likes to take nice pictures of bright colored flowers. It’s strange, red and white roses…no can do. Bright pink anything, no. It seems like cameras like definition and contrast. I’ll figure it out.
Also, I just have to say this again, the magnification feature on the Canon T3i is priceless. The flip-out screen is worth the extra $100 and the image stabilization feature on the lens is a must have.
Anyway, here are some photos of a bumble bee on one of our Neon Showy Stonecrops.
