Our garage has no doors. When we first moved in, both Laura and I found a few bird nests in there, up on the rafters. I think there were three nests in all.
Just a few weeks ago, I discovered a bird flying out of the garage every time I walked in. Actually, the bird sometimes flies out of the garage when we walk out of the front door and that’s fairly far away. I guess this is a particularly cautious bird. Laura says it’s an Eastern phoebe.
Upon further inspection and during the rare occasions this bird didn’t fly from the garage, I noticed it nesting in the most center nest of all three. It appeared as though she was sitting on something. And upon even further inspection than the first inspection, I found these looking at me, all sorts of hungry. This was just this morning.
Pretty cool, huh? Little baby Eastern Phoebe birds.
