As promised, I am posting some (well all) of the videos we took the other day when we were in Kent, CT.
I would say there are eight videos in all. I am posting them as I upload them, but as you might guess, YouTube takes a while to upload, especially when the videos range from 30MB - 130MB. In the videos, the cool part is how much water is going down the river. We have had a bunch of rain, so that really took its toll. Also, the weather was great, so there was some company during our hike.
Enjoy the videos.

I woke up this morning to see that there were no YouTube video ads (or videos, for that matter) being displayed in this blog. I checked my other blog, to see if they were displaying on that one. Nope. I then check Paul’s blog. Nothing there.
I can see the YouTube link, but no videos. Something going on?

I have been going back and forth for some time on this issue…whether or not to go video. I know I take a lot of photos for this blog and that seems to be working out well. I just think that people would enjoy video a whole lot more.
The benefit is that people can see much more through video. They can hear me talk and hear the birds chirp. They can get a real feel for things. Image watching TV as a slide show. Not so much fun. I think video is where it’s at.
I was thinking that I can get a little Sony hard drive video camera and upload the videos to YouTube.com. Depending on the software I get with the camera, I can add my URL in the bottom corner of each video to promote whatever website the video is going to be posted on. Then, I can simply pull the code for the video in from YouTube to my website. Sound good?
Ok, since I really know nothing about video cameras, I am going to have to do a little research. I saw one at Circuit City for decent price. Maybe one of these days I will go grab it. I am sure my family would like to watch these videos, or maybe I am just being a little narcissistic. Nah, I think they will like it.

I just have to say…I love it. I really, really love it.
I long time ago, I saw the movie, “Dirty Dancing.” While I love certain parts of this movie, like when Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze) says, “Nobody puts Baby in the corner,” I especially love the Eric Carmen video of Hungry Eyes at the end of the DVD.
You just have to respect Eric Carmen for managing all that hair. I can’t seem to locate the actual video that played at the end of the DVD, but this one will do. If you want to see the long hair, check out the second video.
Now mind you, the first line of the song is, “I run a comb through my hair.”
