I Had My Text Messaging Turned Off
Monday, January 28th, 2008About a week or two ago, I was on the phone with some company. I can’t remember which one. The guy said to me, “Do you have a cell phone number you want to add to that?” I replied, “You aren’t going to send me junk mail, right?” He said, “No.” This was a company that I have worked with before and trusted. I gave him the cell phone number to add to my account.
Well, that was a mistake. Almost every day this week, I have received a spam text message. I have been finding this annoying, cubed. That is a little math joke…HAHA. Really, do these people seriously think I am going to click the link in their spam message and visit the website on my tiny, little cell phone screen? Please, let’s get over this whole mobile web thing. The internet on your cell phone just sucks.
After I received two more spams this morning, I called Verizon Wireless and had my text messaging capabilities shut off. Now, I can’t send or receive any text message or picture messages. This is a good thing, because every spam message I received cost me money.
