The Day After Moving Day

Friday, April 25th, 2008

Do you want to know what really hurts? My , that’s what.

I am not sure if I ever told you that I hate moving. Boy, if there’s anything that can suck the out of the big day, it’s the actual work involved with it all. And we even had a this time. Oh well. Everything went well with the move. We filled a 24′ truck all the way up. I really didn’t think we had that much stuff. I actually had to leave my little blue recliner back at the house. That’s ok, I got that for free anyway.

So, now that we’re here, I think we’re getting used to it. Since we don’t have any plates (they are still back at the house…we have a few more bins to grab when we go back to do a final cleaning), we ventured out to the local Chinese place last night. We were soooo hungry. I hadn’t actually eaten anything all day and was ready for some . I have to say, the Chinese wasn’t bad.

The place is still all full of stuff like big bags and , but we’re getting there. I have the garage about half unpacked. I am starting a list of stuff I need, so when we go to Lowe’s, we can grab it. I need some of those , like the ones for . I don’t want any of the to get out. Also, we are going to grab some new …some of them are a little wiggly. All in all, everything seems to be in good order. One thing I am finding that I really need is a few 2X4s and some .

I think the really like the . They seem to be very lazy and like to lie on the .

I will write more later, when I get some rest. I think I was so tired last night that I didn’t all that well. I hate it when that happens.

Holly Waaay Too Comfortable

Sunday, April 20th, 2008

It seems that lately, when we come home from some time out galavanting, we open the door to find Holly spread out across the . It’s not the worst thing in the world, but we have to remember that she is the hairiest dog alive, so it’s really no good to have the hair on the . We constantly tell her not to jump up on the , but she only speaks “dog,” so she doesn’t understand.

We caught her today before she woke up. Oh yeah, she’s a great . When we walked through the door this afternoon, we stood there for about a minute listening to her . She woke up only after she heard us turn on the camera. She is scared of .

I remember back in the day when I used to with my dog, Mickles. We would lay there . When I would wake up in the morning, he would be next to me just looking at me. He would actually have his head on a pillow, just like a big red-headed human. When it was time to get up, I would have to push him out of the bed. He abused me.

What Just Happened With Rock of Love?

Ok, I will admit it, the writer’s strike forced me into a with . Actually, Laura started it and I just joined along. I think the only real show we watch is Lost.

My favorites in the reality sector are “,” “’s Kitchen” and “America’s ” to name a few. Laura is all about the last one, not me…suuuure.

Last night was the for . I was so damn excited all day I could hardly stand it. Now, the show is so stupid and I know that. Bret Michaels from is . That’s understandable. There were some decent looking to choose from and there were some busted up looking . Why they let them through the door, I will never know.

The two finalists were and Daisy. Daisy is a nice rocker girl and 25 years old. She had some issues, but I was still on her side 100%. is 37 and has some control problems. It’s like she was everyone on the show’s . She was always having to control everything and was always yelling at everyone. She really pissed me off.

Have I ever told you I never get my way when it comes to stuff like this? I told Laura that I wasn’t going to be able to if he picks . The final moment came and he picked…. Wouldn’t you know it. Is he on ? I am so upset. I am just wondering what was going through Bret’s head. Bret, if you are reading this, please post a comment.

Next week is the reunion. Daisy gets in a Springer style. Life is too short to miss stuff like this.

Yup, college educated Jay Gaulard signing off.

aah…Not only did I my on the this morning, I had the opportunity to set up my and a at the table this evening. I have to tell you, it’s very nice.

There is nothing like surfing the web with a wireless connection on the while drinking everyone’s favorite . I am actually writing this post out here right now. all I hear is . Laura and I just finished dinner and are pretty pleased with the whole thing. I am not sure if she is more pleased with the fact that I made dinner or if I made her eat out here with me.

Well, here is a picture I took for you…

porch-at-night.jpg

The on the table is the one Laura just got from her grandfather’s house. The are the “Off” candles that I bought for the concert. I was a little forced to start up the tonight because I haven’t ran it in a while and I was feeling a little guilty. I miss it. This will also give me the chance to renew the Works that it came with. Also, there are a bunch of updates that it needs. Hey, maybe this will be a nightly thing for me. All we need now is the , so I can out here.

PS - The picture is a little blurry because it is an almost-night shot. I had my camera on the night setting, which acts really weird.
