Well, that wasn’t so bad. A few weeks of a bit of work here and there and I have gotten myself to the point of (almost) completion. All I have to do now is caulk and paint the moulding that goes around the inside of the bathroom door.
I did a few odds and ends yesterday. We really needed a shower caddy. Laura suggested that we not get the usual one that hangs from the pipe to the shower head. She said they get disgusting with the water dripping on everything, making stains and all that. I had to agree. If I didn’t agree, she would have belted me over the head with a wiffle ball bat. So, we wanted one that the water wouldn’t hit. Here is the one we got…

Now, THAT’S a shower caddy. I have never seen anything like that in my life, but I will tell you that it holds everything. There is no more mess standing on the edge of the bathtub.
Also, just recently, the “hot” side of the bathroom faucet decided to start leaking. When I would shut off the water, it would drip and drip and drip. I decided to get a new faucet. I wasn’t going to mess around with the guts of the old one. Here is what I installed yesterday. It was a little tougher than I thought.

Lastly, I put down the threshold moulding for the doorway. I had to screw this down because I thought that hitting big finishing nails into the floor so close to the new tile would have a harmful effect. It’s ok…I kind of made a mess of things while drilling the holes in the center. Those new drill bits I got are really sharp.

That’s it. One last thing to do today and I am going to start on the kitchen. But this time, someone else is doing it.

Ahhhhh…this is my last one.
I am trying to upload all my old videos and this is it. Thank freaking goodness. Now, I can erase this from my todo list. One of these days, I am going to get rid of that list altogether.
One summer long ago, Laura and I decided to visit the Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz. You know, it’s part of the ridge. Anyway, I took some video in the back part, near the lake. That’s the best part anyway. That’s the part everyone comes to see. One of these days, we are going to paddle around in one of those canoes.
Here is some video…

These are some old videos of a time when Laura and I went hiking on the Appalachian Trail near Bull’s Bridge, Kent, CT.
As my old post said, we like to go to dinner every Easter at Fife’n Drum in Kent. Afterwards, we go hiking on the trial just for a few miles. It’s nothing huge, but it is fun.
A few years ago, I got some video of some crazy people kayaking down the river. Also, there was a big raft doing some white water action. It was a good show. I just keep thinking how cold it was.

Along the same lines as the post right before this one (and an earlier post), this is a video of the wooden covered bridge located in Woodstock, VT.
I was standing on the bridge with Laura and I decided to take a short video. It’s not the greatest, but it does give you a good picture of how nice it is up there. Nice and quiet, that is.
Here, take a look…

I am sure (oh yes), sure that you all remember one of my very first blog posts. It was about our colorful visit to Block Island, RI.
Well, if you couldn’t have guessed it, I have a video from that trip. This is with my new camera, so it is more clear than the last ones and it also had audio. I am not sure that’s good, but it’s much better than watching videos in silence.
This video is of us waiting on the ferry to head back to Rhode Island. It’s of the harbor…kind of doing a little panoramic.

I wrote a post a while back about Laura and me visiting the Silas Griffith Inn, in Danby, VT. The Silas Griffith Inn is a very nice bed and breakfast in the most peaceful place you could ever ask for. I took a bunch of pictures, which I included in the old post, but I also took some video.
Before Laura was ready to go outside, I snuck out and took a walk up the field behind the inn. At the top of the hill and over the other side, there is some sort of a quarry. I thought it would be pretty neat to share it with you.

Remember that time I told you about me going up in an ultralight at Randall Airport in Middletown? Well, I have a short video clip of the ultralight pulling out of its parking spot and starting to taxi towards the runway.
I remember this event well. Hmmm…

This is another oldy, but a goody. These are some videos from the time Craig and I flew a Stearman PT-17 at Candlelight Farms Airport in Sherman, CT. yes, this is the same airport that the helicopter landed at in the movie, Mr. Deeds.
It was a great day. Unfortunately, I took these videos with my old camera. They are kind of pixelated and there is no sound. You get the idea.

Remember this post from a while ago? Well, in my continuing effort to post some video on this blog, I uploaded the one video that I had to YouTube. I took a nice panoramic video from the big field next to the lake.
It really is a nice place to hike up in the ridge. If you get a chance, make a day trip of it.

Wow, what a night. Laura and I had a great Thanksgiving dinner at the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, MA.
This is becoming quite the tradition with us. I while back, Laura and I decided to start a new tradition of going out to eat at different inns and restaurants located in different parts of…the area. Apparently, we have developed a few favorites.
I remember the first one we went to. It was New Year’s Eve. We went to the Hudson House in Cold Spring, NY. Since then, we have been to the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, MA, the Village Inn in Lenox, MA, Old Drovers Inn in Dover Plains, NY, Fife’n Drum in Kent, CT, Bar, Barnaby’s in New Paltz and a few others I can’t remember. We really like the tradition.
Last night’s dinner was great. I was so nice to see the entire dining room full of people all dressed up. Of course, Laura and I looked marvelous, as usual.
Here’s a picture of the Inn at night…
