Is There an Alternative to Microsoft Outlook?

That’s the question.
I have Outlook 2002 installed on my computer and it’s time to upgrade. I can get the newest version for $89 - $129, but I would like to use something else if available. Oh, there’s one thing…I don’t use it for email. I use it to sync up my Verizon Wireless Treo 700. I use the contacts, tasks and calendar.
If anyone knows of anything, please let me know.

Jay,
while setting up http://www.markthisdate.com I reviewed so many calendars that I bundled all my ‘knowledge’ on http://www.calendarreview.com. In my opinion Google calendar is the best out there but it misses one important feature: syncing with devices. So what I did I use google calendar and sync that via plaxo with Outlook which is connected to my mobile devices. Outlook is probably still the best choice for offline calendaring etc and the 2007 version is way better then the 2002/xp version.
Succes,
Rutger

Rutger,
Thank you very much for the information. I think I will get the latest Outlook and consider my options from there.
